March Favourites 2015

First up is this beautiful Jessica nail colour I found rummaging around in the beauty section of TKMaxx. This shade is called Action! – the most perfect spring-summer red; enough orange in it to make it more than just red, but not orange enough for it to be just orange. I have been wearing it for almost two weeks now, which is something I cannot say very often of nail varnish, because of the ridiculous amount of different colours I own. I actually repainted my nails the same colour (!) which I don’t know if I’ve ever done before. It is just so gorgeous!

Recently I have been thinking of looking for a slightly darker ‘nineties nude’ lip liner, just because I was getting a bit bored of my usual nude lip liner (Max Factor Brown n’ Nude, for those of you who are interested). Luckily for me, I was given exactly the shade I wanted, by complete chance, for my birthday this month (woohoo, 19!) and it came in the form of the Bellápierre Cosmetics Natural Lip Liner in the shade Cinnamon. In the picture above I lightly lined my lips with it and blended it with a bit of lip balm for a soft natural look, but it is also quite easy to achieve a bolder ‘nineties nude’ with this colour. I think it’s a perfect nude liner for darker skins.

This next product has been reviewed again and again by bloggers and YouTubers, but as I only recently got my hands on it I decided I would share my thoughts on it anyway. My favourite ever cleanser is The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil. It removes even waterproof makeup with ease, it smells divine, it doesn’t give me spots, it leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean, and the bottle has lasted me ages. The single complaint that I have with it is that it is not very travel-friendly; a pump bottle full of oil is a little risky to throw in a weekend bag (mine actually leaks, even when I’m just taking it from my bedroom to the bathroom). So I finally bought the solid balm version – The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter. It does everything that the oil version does, but doesn’t make a mess.

My final favourite this month is a product I would recommend to anyone looking for a new foundation to give them flawless skin (and I mean flawless, like I WOKE UP LIKE THIS flawless). The Mehron Celebré Pro HD foundation is a professional product available to all for a very affordable price, catering for a wide range of skin tones. Read my full review here for more detail and photos of the product in use.
