This beautiful brush of dreams was destined to be in this monthly favourites post the moment it came through my door in my March Birchbox. If mermaids and unicorns used makeup brushes, they would use these Spectrum brushes. This tapered finishing brush has super soft hairs and is a nice small size and the perfect shape for cheekbones, contour and powdering small areas. Plus, it’s adorable. And if all that isn’t enough for you to want to buy it, it’s currently in the Spectrum sale for only £4.99!!
Another Birchbox goody; this teeny tiny tube of ModelCo eyebrow thickening fibre gel is my new favourite brow taming product. I feel like this visibly thickens my eyebrows much more than my previous favourite L’Oreal Brow Plumper; somehow it just adds more to them. It’s pricier for a smaller amount of product but it really is excellent. It also keeps brow hairs in place very well too.
I was very impressed with these new(ish) H&M eyeliners. The pencil, Wildlife, is a shimmery khaki colour and the liquid liner, Cinnamon Luxe, is a warm brown. Firstly, both of these eyeliners come in a pretty good selection of colours with very decent pigmentation, but what really impressed me was their staying power. The pencil is pretty smudge proof and didn’t settle into the creases under my eyelids. The liquid liner was even more smudge proof; it was actually a struggle to remove it all even with an oil-based cleanser, so it would absolutely hold up through rain and sweat. I will most definitely be investing in more colours (especially as they’re so affordable!).
I’ve got a little collection of these Kiko nail polishes going now and I really like them. Not too long ago Kiko had a Buy 3 Get 3 Free offer. These polishes were (and still are) on offer for £2.50 each so I got 6 for £7.50! An absolute win, especially when you know how all-round perfect these nail polishes are. They apply beautifully and with solid colour (including the metallics and glitters), they dry quickly and they have a perfect glossy finish. Plus I counted over 150 colours to choose from, and that’s just the standard polishes (can you tell I love Kiko? Because I love Kiko).
